
Audrey Tang is Taiwan’s cyber ambassador, first digital minister (2016–2024) and an inaugural Senior Accelerator Fellow of the Institute for Ethics in AI at the University of Oxford.
Audrey played a key role in safeguarding Taiwan’s 2024 presidential and legislative elections from cyber interference, as well as designing the country’s internationally recognised COVID-19 response. She was named a TIME100 “Most Influential People in AI” honouree in 2023.
Audrey also assisted in shaping g0v (gov-zero), one of the world’s most prominent civic tech movements, and developing participatory democracy platforms including vTaiwan and Join. She is credited with bringing civic innovation into Taiwan’s public sector through initiatives like the Presidential Hackathon and Ideathon.
